Are we to assume that Ava - General Hospital

Is doing the same thing with Sonny’s meds that she did with Morgan? Is she working with/for Valentin? Will she deny Nina access to Sonny? Will Valentin kill brennen?

Great questions. Ava is playing her role well. I can’t decide if she is part of the problem because she’s in on the plot with Valentine or because she is just messy. Her actions of staying close to Sonny whispering ideas in his head that trigger his worst impulses most certainly point to her as being an accomplice of Val’s.

Yes - maybe she is involved but wow that would be a burn on Nina too

I don’t think the writers have decided how they want to play this out with Ava. Sonny just helped her when she was being blackmailed. Avery loves her dad and Ava loves Avery. I have a hard time believing she wants Sonny dead. But she is trying to isolate him from Nina, Carly, and Michael. Carly and Michael made it easy for her by placing a spy in his organization. Nina turning in Carly put her on the outs with Sonny. Ava is happy in her new role in Sonny’s life.

Ava is an opportunist. She is too scared of Sonny to mess with her custody and his protection. If anything, she wants to become primary in his inner circle to protect her access to Sonny and his organization. She’ll be the perfect “mob wife.” She tried to school Nina but the ninny wouldn’t listen.

I thought Valentin said he had been in touch with someone where Sonny gets his medication. He persuaded them to give Sonny 40% medicine and 60% placebo.

That just might be her ultimate goal.

I hope Ava breaks Sonny so bad he gets put in a mental hospital so he can finally get some therapy.

Today’s episode was very thought provoking. More questions brought up than answered. Is Ava involved? If so to what end? Is her friendship with Nina a fraud? Is she involved romantically with Valentin? Was Valentin involved before his and Anna’s romance began? Did Anna get totally played once again? Who killed Austin? Is he really dead? Was Curtis really shot by accident? Loving this - just please do not go on too long or get too convoluted.

I just can’t see becoming friends with someone who stole my baby? Ava seems like a get even if it takes forever than a forgiver. Ava has a lot of people she wants to hurt, one stone lots of people will take the hit. Until they get payback

Good point. Ava playing the long game. But Valentin taking out Sonny knowing what it would do to Nina? Maybe his hatred for Sonny is rooted in his love for Nina and his Anna romance was a farce?

Valentin is the one messing with the meds, I doubt Ava knows anything about that but she is up to something. I dont know why she put Sonny’s cell out of his line of vision but still told him the good news, I dont get what she wants to accomplish by that. But Sonny is not himself because “normal” Sonny would have flew to the hospital and not let anyone tell him anything to stop him.

By Ava telling Sonny that Dante is okey is just making her look better in his light. He is constantly trusting her more and more & needing her more and more. She’s helping isolate him from everyone (Carly, Dex, Jason, Michael) that he used to trust. Although there is no evidence to support this, she may be threatened or blackmailed to be his only support system. She may be working with Valentin & have no choice.

She’s definitely acting like she knows something. Why would Ava ever think she could control Sonny? She was acting like his mother yesterday (a very weird different vibe) - sit down and relax, let me call the hospital about Dante (who she is not related to so they wouldn’t tell her anything ) changing the whole narrative that he can’t go see Dante -without a flinch from Sonny. Who tells Sonny he can’t do something
I wonder if we’ll see a “past” scene soon that shows Valentin meeting up with Ava - explaining how this will all allow her to be with Sonny and have control and he can get Nina away from Sonny to be with her again.

You’re right :+1:t4:

Even Carly tried to warn Nina about getting involved with Sonny, but she didn’t listen . Nina cannot handle being Sonny’s wife and the business. Carly did it best in my opinion, not that I want a Carson reunion.

Ava plays the part of a mob wife perfectly. She could even go back to being a mob boss herself. I would rather not see another Ava and Sonny hookup, but it certainly looks like they are heading in that direction. :grimacing::grimacing::grimacing:

Only in soapland would a woman be friends with the woman who literally stole her baby from her womb! :disappointed_relieved::disappointed_relieved::disappointed_relieved:

This is what I’m thinking. She is also the perfect fall gal to take the blame for Sonny’s meds being compromised because no one will believe her when she professes her innocence. I think she might have legit feelings for Sonny.

When it comes to our martini shaking villainess…who knows?

She likes power which is what she gets allowing Sonny to be vulnerable and to think she is the Only one he can trust. I think that is her angle and if he is off his meds a little that’s the only way she thinks he will let down his guard enough to let her in because other than that, the memory of what she did to Morgan will not let it happen. Also, Sonny being impaired is the only way the writers can get us to believe he would be in bed with the woman who contributed to the death of his son.

I don’t think Ava is doing anything to Sonny’s meds. Valentin told “Jack” that he spoke to the pharmacist or whatever and had his meds diluted. What they didn’t say is for how long. Should we assume that this has been going on for as long as Brennan has been in Pentonville and Valentin took over? I don’t think it would go back as far as Valentin bringing Sonny the offer from Pikeman. He wasn’t in charge then, so that wouldn’t make sense. Sonny has been acting out of character since Nixon Falls, so it will be hard to button down exactly how long this has been going on.
Is she working with or for Valentin. I think in some capacity she kinda has to be. If she’s not she is definitely up to something. When she initially hid/moved Sonny’s phone I thought she was doing it so that she could keep Sonny there with her and to prevent him from going to the hospital to check on Dante. But, then when she told him… I was like… what in the??? Then I figured she wanted to be the one to give him the good news. To give him another reason to trust her, to count on her, to keep her right there by his side, and she did still prevent him from leaving by telling him lies about what the hospital said.
Will she deny Nina access to Sonny? Lord have mercy!!! Carly vs Nina was old and stale and quite frankly just sickening at this point. But Nina vs. Ava!!! I am down for that. Talk about fun to watch. These two ladies going at it has all the potential in the world.

Will Valentin kill Brennan? I have no idea. I’m not really sure why he would. At this point, Jack is in Pentonville. Valentin has taken over as the man in charge. Brennan isn’t in his way so I don’t know what his motive would be. Although the writer’s are changing things up and are for sure keeping it interesting so I wouldn’t be surprised if there is a reason that I am not aware that we’ll find out soon enough.

Is it just me or does this storyline feel very familiar, like 25-30 years ago familiar? Dark Sonny in crisis & Jason & Carly to his rescue. I wanted something new but this feels so OG that I am pretty excited.
