Jack was great. The only problem is that she doesn’t see anything wrong with her perfect self. A long time ago, when Jack was talking to Phyllis about Theo getting fired from Jabot, she told Jack that the problem is not to sound hypocritical while doing it (giving advice to the younger generation). So she seems to have changed for the worse.

Jack is seeing this ugly side of Phyllis HE thought was changing, and he’s been seeing it since Diane got back in town. Jack was hoping Phyllis was growing and evolving into a better woman. But he’s finding out the hard way she’s still the same vindictive, vengeful hateful hag she’s always been and it hurts him to see how wrong he was. Phyllis isn’t thinking one bit about how this will effect Jack’s son and grandson, for Phyllis it’s ALL about revenge.

Phyllis has always been selfish, self absorbed, vindictive, jealous, petty and manipulative. What has changed is she is forgetting her sins, her felonies, her wretched lies and pretending she is not simply an overwrought and emotionally crippled older woman. She has never been such a mess and age has not improved her. I used to find her amusing now I am disgusted by her.

I think at the moment Jack is going on what he knows so far. When and if more comes out regarding Diane, he may change his tune…not sure if he’ll apologize, I do feel he told Phyllis some hard truths today, like look in the mirror.

Phyllis thinks so much about revenge that she actually gave up the hotel which she loved. She did that to go after Diane. How pitiful that is. She is the definition of the mean high school bully girl.

Just when she had the opportunity to actually prove herself, that she can live and let others live, she failed miserably. Why, because Phyllis is still mentally and emotionally the same insecure, jealous and malicious woman she was when she preyed on Danny and Christine. Her low self esteem played a huge role in her thinking, she had to drug a man, to get him. Her mental state allowed to be malicious enough, that she was capable of ruining a man’s life, just to try to get her way.

Her jealousy issues, drove her to hating Christine, because she was jealous of her, because she had, what Phyllis wanted and couldn’t have. Phyllis has the emotional level, that is of a child. She acts out, when she can’t have her way. All she’s been doing since Diane came to town, it’s been on high school mean insecure school girl. She has her little pack, all thinking they’re so morally superior, that they can ban her from the playground.

How silly and childish do they look, the ex stripper and town known alcoholic, the sperm stealer, daring to look down on anyone and Phyllis the one thats gonna handle it, the badass in the group, that looks like she just a banana peel away from being Chelsea’s roommate.

Jack dodged a bullet, he should have learned when she ran around with his brother behind his back.

That’s exactly what I mean by saying she still that same woman that came to GC all those years ago. And Diane is the only woman in GC, that did her, what she’s done others, and just as maliciously and deliberately as she use to do. And Phyllis can’t handle it, she can’t get past it. How sick is that, that you can DISH IT, but sure as hell can’t take it, not even to be able to live the life you say you dream of.

Phyllis had her own hotel, a status she CLAIMED she wanted more than anything AND the man, and let’s be honest, she broke up with Nick for, Jack. But just knowing there’s one woman that got the best of, that ruined your family, that played your game and made you crack, just like you’re doing now. All these years later and you’re still where you were mentally, the last time Diane came along and ruined your marriage.

BUT you expect OTHERS, to move past the past, to not want vengeance against YOU! Remember hiw bad she talked to Christine when Christine was trying to get her back in court for running her and Paul down all those years ago? But look how she wants HER vengeance on Diane for what she did ALL those years ago. Funny huh?

Honestly Jack was disappointed in her because she’s the only one he wanted to plan a life with. Jack was hoping Phyllis had changed, that she didn’t need revenge like we need oxygen. His future is just disintegrating right before his eyes, he thought it was going to be with Phyllis. I think that’s what we’re seeing here, he could care less about what Nikki or Ashley doing, he wasn’t planning on spending the rest of his life with them.

OMG, you are so right! I could not have described Phyllis selfish behavior any better!! She have the nerves to look down on someone else and BULLY them to leave town. I wish her sister would come back to town, because she also had Phyllis pegged as the self-righteous hag that she is too. Even if Diane is found out to be hiding more lies, that is not what this is all about for Jack. Like you said- he was hoping that Phyllis would have matured more and is able to leave petty vindictiveness behind, considering everything she has been thru, in the past. But nooooooooo, Phyllis seems to always convert back to her old self and cannot see why Jack is so angry and disappointed in her! I hope he never goes back to Phyllis, she is TOXIC.

IF I could give you a EMMY for this statement, I would! This literally sums up why Jack is so angry with Phyllis and why he is hurting because of her behavior, too.

I agree with you about Phyllis. She hasn’t changed a bit since she came to GC, drugged and raped Danny and pretended her baby was his so he would divorce Christine and marry her. She has been manipulative, selfish, petty, and mean for ages. It’s just getting less enjoyable to watch her and at her age, it’s not a good look. Worst of all Jack loved her, wanted to build a future with her and she ruined everything once again. She just doesn’t learn.
