Celebrities at the ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood Awards 2024

ESSENCE’s 17th annual Black Women in Hollywood Awards took place on March 7 and it was another fashion-filled red carpet featuring stars from Zendaya to Danielle Brooks.

The annual event celebrates the accomplishments of Black women in film and TV, and in a week filled with Oscars parties, Billboard’s Women in Music event, and more, ESSENCE’s award show is happening at a prime time in the industry.

The 2024 Black Women in Hollywood Award honorees and entertainment industry trailblazers include Academy Award-nominated actress, The Color Purple star Danielle Brooks, six-time Grammy-nominated singer and Little Mermaid actress Halle Bailey.

Method Man was on hosting duties for the celebration, which ESSENCE says, “Highlights the women who are making their unquestionable mark in film and television.” Other attendees include Zendaya, Tia and Tamera Mowry, and many more.
