What is everyone’s opinion on Chad and Stephanie as a couple? Personally I don’t like them together for 2 reasons. First, because they feel too forced as Stephanie was brought in as a replacement for Abby by being in Chad’s orbit immediately after Abby died and also bc I don’t see any sparks between them at all. All I see is friendship at best. Even yesterday Chad telling Stephanie, the kids love you so much I literally cringed. They are trying way too hard to force these 2 even making Chad call Stephanie so Alex would mess up just to force Chad and Stephanie. It just isn’t working for me. They should have put Chad in other stories before giving him another romance so soon after Abby’s
death.

My thoughts exactly. However, todays episode had me thinking, go ahead and put Chad and Steph together and make them as miserable as possible. They’re both so self righteous and arrogant that they deserve each other. They act like Alex murdered Kayla. Chad needs to remember all the dumb mistakes he made and how many people he hurt. Stephanie just needs to go away, I cringe anytime she’s onscreen.

My thoughts exactly! Especially your last sentence. I’ve tried to like the character but each time she’s on, I like her a little bit less.

I’m not a Chad fan either. I thought Abby was the love of his life and yet he seems to be falling for someone else already. Besides, didn’t he and Stephanie mention several times that they were family?

I say Yay. Way better than Stephanie with Alex. They seem to have great chemistry. Billy FLynn is really a great actor. I like it when Chad is like this not hot head Chad.

Very loosely family. I knew right when they brought Stephanie on board that she would be of interest to Chad because bloodwise they work. Actually even Alex and Stephanie are family. Alex is Justin’s son who was married to Adrienne who is Steve’s sister. Chad was related to Stephanie only through Abigal who was Jack’s daughter who was Steve’s brother. Everyone on this show is related somehow. It’s like that Kevin Bacon game.

I say Yay for Chad and Stephanie.
Although in real life it was only a short time ago that Abby died, in soap opera time, he has grieved a respectable amount of time.

The Stephanie character is coming into her own. She is showing a range of emotions that I suspected she was capable of emoting all along.I’m pleased that the writers are showing that she has agency over her business and personal life. What a good job she’s doing!

I never saw her as a match with Alex unfortunately, due to his reputation as a player and a "threesome"player to boot.
Aside from this revelation of his overstepping her privacy boundaries, leading to a tragic result, I think that she would have ended it finding out about his unconventional sexual tendencies.

All in all, Chad and Stephanie work for now. They both have the commonality of having lost loved ones. They may not necessarily be endgame, though.

He did that too (fall for that is) the first time Abbby supposedly died for mmm with Gabi. He needs to mourn to worry about his kids than chasing Stephanie.

I say Nay. I see where they are going with this. Chad & Stephanie will get together only for Abby to somehow in the future turn up alive. Chad will dump Stephanie and once again she will be a 2nd choice. I like Alex and Stephanie, I feel like for once since the character started dating she can have her own love story where she is a first choice in someone’s life.

Alex can do better than that self-righteous twit. So can Chad for that matter. I was leaning on the fence about her until she decided to forego a business meeting to go skating with Chad’s kids & didn’t even bother to let Alex, whom she was supposed to be meeting, know. Chad’s kids would have gotten over it if Stephanie had told them maybe some other time. That’s a cr*py way to run a business. Alex or Sonny should have ditched her. It’s a shame because I like Steve & Kayla,just not impressed by Stephanie.

I truly don’t care who Stephanie ends up with. All this wailing about Mom, while justifiable, is just about her. Why isn’t she with poor old Papa, who is also suffering?

Stephanie being Abby’s cousin means the potential for drama, especially if Abby shows up alive at some point, so yay gets my vote

I completely agree with everything you said Blice. When Stephanie first came onto the scene and her & Chad looked like they were getting into one another. I was happy when Chad pulled back because I thought it was too soon. Now I think they make a much better couple than her & Alex plus Alex really screwed up. Personally I really like Abigail Klein as Stephanie from the beginning and think she’s doing a great job

But Chad didn’t really pull back, he still see’s her all the time for work and he’s also using his kids (whether he realizes it or not) to maintain contact with her. He took Christmas gifts from the kids to her, they invited her to go skating, then he had to deliver sympathy cards from the kids. Chad may have said/thought it was too soon but his actions don’t say that.

I think this triangle is a bust and Chad probably should have left with Abigail.

The show is very committed to Rob, as evidenced by their use of him, with DH, in all their promotional material. I don’t mind him but I don’t think this material is very compelling for the series’s male lead.

IA with you regarding Chad’s being in Stephanie’s orbit all the time. He may not be doing it purposefully in order for a romance to begin; but, if not, she is getting mixed signals. Then there is Stephanie, who is either a flirt or clueless. It seems to be the latter, IMO. So both of them need to pull back and look at the whole picture.

Stephanie used to be doing o.k., but I now am not a fan. She kept leading Alex on, being the instigator of trying to have a sexual relationship, then just couldn’t say no to Chad when he came around for whatever reason he had at the moment, thereby pushing Alex to the back burner. Of course, she has a reason now to remove him from the equation. Who knows how she’ll feel when (I’m sure) her mother turns up alive.

I would say RC is committed to RSW, it was his idea to bring Ben back and reform him. And then CIN took off, and the rest of tptb I’m guessing loved the attention. Problem is Alex is a dud. He isn’t leading man material at all. Ben was a better character, with so many layers, Alex is one note, but he didn’t have to be, i get they wanted distance between the two characters. But they royally mucked it up. I did read that DH and RSW were at some event promoting the show. That hasn’t happened in a while, interesting.

I still say RSW is only there for RC’s eye candy which is why we see him constantly shirtless.

Chad’s special spaghetti and meatballs? At least he said Kate taught him how to make it but he sure threw that together really quick. I’m glad Kate was acknowledged but I’m still trying to figure out why poor little Stephanie is sitting around moaning about not being able to say goodbye to her Mom. I guess she really is that self centered. Maybe she should be spending time with her Dad. Stephanie never spent time with Steve or Kayla when K was alive, she even turned down family Christmas because Paulina might need something. Get over yourself Stephanie, you’re not that special.
