I think it is funny and sad that the minute Molly and Christina have a storyline the original actresses are gone. I realize the actress that plays Christina didn’t want to work much, but I sort of feel bad for Haley Pulos.

It is sad. I think when Lexi decided to opt out, they should have switched the story. Molly and TJ are still supposedly really young and now it seems like they are trying to force a surrogate story. They could have just had them find out she has endometriosis and over time decide to have a baby another way. It feel incredibly rushed and yes without Hailey, it just doesn’t feel right.

Recasting Haley IS necessary under the circumstances.
As far as the storyline goes I think TPTB didnt think either previous actress could do a story with any teeth into it.
The choice of Kate Mansi, A Daytime Emmy Winner, means that FV means business.
It will be interesting to see what they do with Molly. If this new one doesnt go well, I wonder if MT and FV will try to get a name actress.

I think the show hit a home run with the new Christina, she has a very expressive face.

Well LA won an Emmy for Kristina in 2017. She’s a kick azz actress & can handle any sl. Whether her departure was bc she wasn’t available or anything else is not because she was not a good enough actress.

The infertility story started with Haley and old Christina being there. The left in the midst of it (for their 2 individual reasons)… so too bad too sad, for them. The story didn’t start with the new actors

Yes. Both actresses are not on the show now at a time when a story line is heating up for them. We know LA is not coming back but HP has not been said by tptb to have been replaced permanently. The change happened at a difficult time and beyond tptb control for the Molly character since HP got into legal trouble. The show has moved on and so should we. The new Kristina has me watching the Davis girls and mom now as where I ignored them before. I like the Kristina change. Yes LA won an emmy that’s great but she is not Kristina anymore.

I’m not sure Lexi left the show on her own, Fordster. I read a statement that she made, on this site, that she was hoping to be able to finish this storyline but she said something to the effect that TPTB decided to go with someone else—not sure of the exact wording.

I feel sorry whenever anyone loses a job that they truly wanted. Sorry to say though that the Davis girls’ quarrels are not interesting to me at all. Maybe I’m missing something and must be in the minority, but this is the only time that I’ve felt compelled to press the FF button into service.

This is true for Haley, but not for Lexi.
They decided to bring someone on to replace Lexi. I have no idea why. In my opinion, she was perfectly capable and was Kristina. Evidently the powers that be disagreed.
For Haley, we know what happened there.

Lexi gave her notice on her own. She decided to take a different path for her career…

I read the article that said she was leaving. I took it to mean that Lexi was taking the high road and wanted to go out without any animosity. She wanted the story, but they wanted to recast the part.
Of course, the article is open to interpretation, so that is just my opinion and my take on the article. I cannot say for sure.

I’m liking both the new Molly and Christina. I’m looking forward to see how this works with the new actors. I never did like the old Christina.

I think the writers like the idea of the Davis girls, if you put them all at Windemere and add Elizabeth three sons you would have a new brady bunch.
