Happy Weekend!

Am recovering from the bitter loss of a winning home run in the 11th inning last night. What a way to lose. On to Game 2 tonight, GO DIAMONDBACKS!

Ok, here I am!

And with kids possibly trick or treating

Oh I did not consider this… not having little ones around I didn’t think about Halloween being on a school night. Guess I will set a basket of candy on the porch tonight just in case. But Tuesday will be the usual sitting on the porch, watching the trick or treaters and handing out my famed black martinis to the adults.

Weird weather everywhere. It is always unseasonably warm here on Halloween. Like clockwork, it shoots up to low 80’s for Halloween, then we return to fall weather again. It’s so weird. I always debate whether or not to light my Halloween candles because who appreciates that in warm weather, but it just seems necessary to have candles on Halloween!

Halloween crazy weather I can remember when my kids were little there were a few Halloweens when it snowed we don’t get any kids …since the gold course community really grew and they ask the kids to stay in their smaller areas and then go to club house for a trick or treat party

Snow on Halloween! That’s something I’m not familiar with, lol! Would be fun for a change. But yeah, not fun for trick or treaters.

@dawn888 you mention breakfast in Hawaii….we were just talking how in Seattle we have access to tropical fruits, but somehow they just taste better here

Coffee with Friends…perfect name for the thread! Our kids will be going out for Trick or Treat on Tuesday, October 31st in my area! We sit out on the porch too and this year I think it will be mini Black Russians for the parents on our street! My husband starts first with giving out the treats and then he meanders around to visit the neighbours…. Too bad the weather looks like it will be much cooler than it has been but the kids won’t mind!!

Happy Saturday night! Penn State won today 33-24 over Indiana. Uninspired play, but it was a win. They’re still smarting from last week’s loss.

And it sounds like you had a different kind of day yesterday? Anything special?

Nothing special. Just an aggravating work day that left me in a bad mood.

And from the previous thread, yes, @Lila, Celine Dion did cover I Drove All Night. It was for a car commercial, I think.

Our kids will be going out for Trick or Treat on Tuesday, October 31st in my area! We sit out on the porch too

This is what we do. I live in a densely populated urban area, so lots of multi-family homes. Instead of kids ringing multiple doorbells, we all sit outside on the porch.

I’m being super exciting this Saturday night and cleaning up my desk where paper dragons and mail have piled up. The dragons have been contained to work on on Monday, and the mail has been sorted and there’s lots to recycle.

That’s a long time to be bitter, lol! Know what you mean though. I’m still harboring a grudge against the 49ers for my Chargers Super Bowl loss in 1994. We sports fans take our games very seriously!

My family had season tickets for the NY Giants and I got to see them play the Chargers near the end of Dan Fouts’ career, back in 1986
