I’m just now watching Friday’s episode and the conversation between Val and Brennan. Did Val just insinuate that Brennan is the son of Cyrus? That would give Brennan a family connection to other PC residents, including Laura, Nikolas, Spencer, Aiden and Ace. Interesting. It’s like they’re replacing Victor’s deceptive presence with that of Brennan through evil Cyrus. Who needs Victor and Helena when Cyrus is around? I hope this means they’re keeping Charles Mesure around for a while.

I did not hear that. But, I am going to go back and read that part of the recap right now. How interesting would that be?

I might be wrong. I think Valentin said to Brennan when talking about Sonny that he “tried to beat an old man to death with his bare hands.” I thought Val said “he tried to beat YOUR old man to death with his bare hands.” Oh, well. No ties to PC residents yet then.

Yes, I just read the recap, it says an old man, and he was referring to Cyrus. And he also calls Valentin Daddy Warbucks, but that was just because Valentin was giving him a stash of cash to pay off the guards.
It would have been interesting for sure. Honestly I am so impressed with the new writing team. Originally my thoughts going in were kinda, it can’t be any worse than it is now. And as long as they don’t drag out the same tired stories for two years, it’ll be fine. Well they have been amazing. I get excited to watch every day. This hasn’t happened in years.

I agree. It will be interesting to watch Sonny go off the rails as long as it doesn’t take too long for Jason or Carly to figure out what’s going on, especially since they know Ava tampered with Morgan’s meds before his death. Although it will take some time for them to figure out the appropriate source of the tampering. If Ava figures it out, she’ll just continue to let it happen for her own ends. She is contemptible.

When this is all over, I hope they lay off Sonny for a while so he can even himself out and completely recover from the amnesia and then the medication tampering on top of it. Maurice Benard should be given a good, long vacation when Sonny gets through all of this.

It could even be a case of they don’t find out that his meds have been tampered with at all. He could recognize that he’s feeling off or not himself or not actually as he normally would. He can simply go to the doctor and tell him that and they could adjust his meds because they simply think they are no longer working for him.
I seriously doubt that’s what will happen, but anything is possible. I am curious how they would ever discover that the pharmacist is changing the dosage. That’s so out there that it likely won’t occurr to anyone.

Carly will know if she spends more than a few minutes with him. She’s seen it a million times.

That’s what I was thinking. Carly, Michael, Jason. They will all suspect that his meds are off.

Carly will do what she always does, butts in and somehow get a pill or two and have the lab at GH analyze it to confirm her suspicions.

I agree. I’m tired for him and it will allow other stories and actors to take center stage but who is as compelling and which stories we keep our interests

What I got from the scene was that Cyrus was sent there by Pikeman to provoke Sonny. If I’m not mistaken, Ava was already living with Sonny so she may have switched his meds by then. It was a setup.

He could recognize that he’s feeling off or not himself or not actually as he normally would. He can simply go to the doctor and tell him that and they could adjust his meds because they simply think they are no longer working for him.

The thing about mental illness is that in most cases, the person doesn’t realize that there is something wrong and that there has been a change in their behaviour. To Sonny, there’s nothing wrong; he’s behaving as he always has.

Wasn’t there a scene quite some time ago in which Nina realized he was acting erratically, maybe drinking? And intervened. Maybe she will notice his unusual behavior and have to work with Carly to help him. That would be a twist!

That’s exactly the kind of thinking that makes me angry at them letting Sonny get away with torturing people, dragging people out in the woods so he can murder them etc. Look what Sasha went thru when her meds were messed with , she was hospitalized and still had to deal with her legal issues but not Sonny. It just makes me hate him that much more. He’s the most propped character on this show.

the reason Bi-polar is so hard to treat and patients stay compliant, they don’t really recognize it until they are either in a very deep depression, or they end up acting out in a way that gets noticed, to them the up and downs are so common, they see nothing wrong, and the mania is such an enjoyable “high” they feel like superman so, usually its the people around them that pick up on any issues.

They need to lock Sonny up until he stabilizes, I might feel bad for him if he had to actually deal with some consequences for his actions like Sasha had to. With Sonny, they use his mental health as a get out if jail card. He beat old man to a pulp and would have murdered Dex if Carly had not of stop me. Being mentally ill is no excuse for violence , it might be an explanation but it’s no excuse.
