History lesson: Remember Nina's old boyfriends after PCIII...Chase, David Kimble and the writer? - T

I remember Nina having a boyfriend by the name of Chase…he was a nice looking, great guy…whatever became of him? I really need a Y&R history lesson if anyone has some info on this young man…What is Nina’s maritial status now? Divorced or separated? Guess some of the good ones do get away…but then again, she did have a terrible one in David Kimble…he got “compacted” when he died…he had married her for her money and turned into a “killer”, literally with it etched into his forehead by a plastic surgeon…who did he kill as to why the doc put that on him? Did he try to kill Nina? And then there was the real-life son of Sophia Loren (wasn’t it??? I may be wrong :~ )…he was also a writer…I can’t recall his name, but he was tall, dark and very handsome, indeed… *) but, he just couldn’t/didn’t want to compete with her success being brighter than his…shortly after that is when Nina left the show for California to become a screenwriter, I believe…???

the writer is thomas del cerro?

Jill and Katherine hired Chase Benson to sweep Nina off her feet. They wanted to prove that Nina was an unfit mother so Phillip could gain custody of PC IV. Nina and Chase were planning to go on a three week vacation when baby Phillip became ill. Nina called off the trip and took care of the baby, Phillip III and Nina grew closer and it wasn’t long before they planned to marry.

She had an affair with Ryan McNeil while he was married to Victoria Newman. Ryan & Nina eventually married and then divorced.

David Kimble planned to kill Nina, Christine and Danny the night of “The Masquerade Ball”. His secretary/mistress, Diane Westin discovered his plan and replaced the bullets with wax bullets. At the ball he shot all three of them and tried to escape. Paul Williams chased after David and he ran to a closet to hide, unbeknownst to him it was a garbage chute. He fell into the compactor and was crushed to death.

Nina also briefly dated Phillip IV’s soccer coach.

Tomas Del Cerro, was an alcoholic and as Nina was becoming successful, he started drinking again. His old demons cropped up and he felt insecure and jealous around Nina. He encouraged her to move to California and become a screenwriter. Their engagement was called off and she left for L.A. and Phillip IV soon followed.

Nina is currently divorced.

The actor who played Tomas (Francesco Quinn) was the real life son of Anthony Quinn - not the son of Sophia Loren.

Wow! I guess we know who to call when we have a question!
Thanks for the memories! (I miss Ryan.)

I just saw Francesco Quinn in an Old El Paso commercial. He’s very good.
