Did anyone got a little teary eyed when Thomas hugged Hope goodbye?

No, not at all—-I truly hope that they’re going back to Paris as a family.

I feel like Thomas is using Paris to try to make Hope realize what she’s missing. I don’t think they’re going to end up married. Or if they do make it down the isle, it won’t last because Hope is a home wrecker. She won’t want him until he’s married.

I think it threw Thomas off his game when Hope gave him her blessing. I believe he thought by leaving she would come after him and now he will have to change his plans. That hug was just to let her know what she would be missing.

I agree with you on this…And I think that when Thomas proposed for yet a THIRD time and again Hope was “not ready”, I feel Thomas thought she would say YES…but alas, and it “dampened” him to just up and leave, wedding at grand dad’s or not…Maybe Thomas is of the thinking “absence makes the heart grow fonder”, or maybe it’ll be: “out of sight, out of mind”…hmmmm

I see absolutely no longing from Thomas at all. Not even a little bit. He feels a little sorry for the sad sack, buts that all.

I agree. Basically, he knows that she will never say yes to him and he’s done trying to make it happen.
He has learned. He has changed.
