I don’t think Jill won’t approve!

Idk what she will think or say but this storyline is “filler ,I don’t know what to write about crap”. Just rip off the bandaid and produce a good storyline writers

I thought it would happen when Lily got back actually.
They broke her up with Daniel, the romance ran it’s course. Daniel and his family are reunited. Good for them. Lily moving on is fine by me.

It is another SL that is hard to swallow. The only reason I can come up with is to promote fans for Heather and Daniel and promote Billy who now seems to know everything.

All at Lily’s expense of course. I like all the characters but I do not think the writing makes sense. Unless plot point writing is your thing.

always plot driven which contradicts griffiths comments a couple of years ago when he said he wanted character driven storylines. hasn’t happened yet.

Yes, Griffith’s writing is always plot driven. I didn’t realize that he said he wanted “character driven storylines.”

Did Lily forget that Heather is an attorney??? She’s setting herself up for a sexual harassment lawsuit. Daniel doesn’t want to be with her anymore, so she fires him & the women he chose over her? You know having a relationship with people who work for you is never a good idea, especially when you’re the boss. This is going to get real messy!

Lily is not behaving like a CEO she is behaving like an angry/hurt adolescent little girl! Big mistake Lily

Capucine says: this storyline is “filler ,I don’t know what to write about crap”.

I was thinking that very thing.

Lily has only proved that she is entirely unqualified to run Chancellor/Winter without Devon warning her she’s out of line. CEO’s do not engage in personal vendettas in a public restaurant.

Legal and HR are contacted. Key cards are cancelled. Office locks are changed. Exit paperwork created and checks are calculated/written (No severance packages, who are these people writing this dross?). Heather and Daniel are met at the front door and admitted into separate meeting rooms and legal/HR handles the paperwork and personal items.

No muss. No fuss. No personal attacks.

“Your services are no longer required. Sign here to receive the residual of your employment contract.”

Afterward and at another time, if Lily wants to play the betrayed lover in front of a rubber-necking audience, Chancellor/Winters is out of harm’s way and off the hook.

The writer would never put that much thought, time and energy into that….so we get what we saw .

It’s more like the other way around. Lily and Daniel were involved before Heather showed up on the scene. Heather and Daniel exercised very poor judgement. How would a betrayal in a personal relationship amount to a functioning working relationship? The two are connected. The boss doesn’t have to have a reason for firing his/her employees. They have to provide severance. Daniel and Heather haven’t been employed long enough for the severance package to amount to much. How long was it? 6 months? Lily was being generous by providing a “generous severance package.”

Heather needs to immediately file a wrongful termination lawsuit because neither one of them did anything wrong at work - it was on a personal level. No court will be on Lily’s side.

This is what makes this show soapy. It’s so fun to see people behaving badly. Love that Lily fired them but I wish she’d made a bigger scene.

Real world  vs soap world. But I agree totally this still could have had some drama, but done in the professional manner and not over some coffee stir sticks at Crimson Lights.

It would be a frivolous wrongful dismissal, unless stated in a contract that employee can’t be fired if it wasn’t for a good cause.

Without a contract, wrongful dismissal only applies to legally protected statuses such as race, gender, and age.

GC doesn’t even have a Police Dept. so I doubt they have a “court”… Heather is a lawyer, so the ball is in her “court.”

It certainly does contradict him. Since Lily seemed less likely to do fire them last week I almost expect her to withdraw the firing this week or next. Although they might decide to quit.

I agree. I thoughly enjoyed Lily firing these two…I think they both deserved it & were lucky that Lily maintained her professionalism, even though imo, she could have said more, she said what she needed to say and they got the message loud and clear.
I also loved their facial expressions even though they had previously discussed resigning, Daniel looked surprised.
Did Daniel really think Lily was going to be reminded of these two cheaters everytime she went to the office?
