Michael Vick has signed with............. - Soaps.com Lounge
Michael has signed with the eagles. I’m so happy for him. Hate the Eagles, but happy for Michael. He deserves this second chance. Hopefully the Cowboys won’t have to see him in a game. I prefer the slower, Donovan McNabb.

I mean no disrespect but this guy is a horrible person. He deserves no chances will those dogs he killed get a second chance? Nope! He is only “feeling bad” because he got caught if he didn’t get caught he’d still be having dogs fighting each other till the death! He is SCUM!!!
Yes, what he did was wrong. But he served his time. Isn’t that what prisons are for…rehabilitation? Now he is out and he needs a job. I don’t like what he did, but it is our system. He is out. He can work.
Eppy August 14, 2009, 3:28am 4Yes, he’s entitled to work, but what gets me is that he really appears to have no shame or guilt about his involvement in dog-fighting ~ only about the fact that he was publicly nailed for it. I think he will just go on with his life as if this was just an inconvience and probably will have very little impact on him personally. Jail isn’t a piece of cake I’m sure, but it sure as heck wasn’t a life sentence as opposed to the death sentence he was responsible for imposing on those poor, little innocent and trusting creatures.
Hi Eppy, I guess people view things differently. I think he is remorseful. I know he’s suppose to be on 60 minutes Sunday. If you care to listen to what he has to say and have an open mind. I’m sure everybody out there has done something that they want to be forgiven for. And I’m glad that he was given this second chance.
True Eppy. He might act like his contrition is only because of being caught, but it doesn’t matter legally. He did his time, what he was sentanced for. This is just a question and I am really (honest) not trying to stir anything up, but really curious.
If a person does their time for a crime (hey, that is a rhyme!) and gets out…are other citizens supposed to still regard them as criminals or are we supposed to let them move on?
He did a few years (hell, some rapists don’t get that long) and he is out. But sex offenders are different than animal crimes.

Eppy August 14, 2009, 5:09am 9Plot-Twister, post #6. Oh yes, definitely I believe people do their time they should have employment after they re-enter society. I said that, but he isn’t just any other inmate released to flounder on his own. He’s a famous and gifted athlete and will be re-entering his world of an upscale lifestyle. I will watch 60 minutes and of course I think I have an open mind, but I cannot get out of my mind the misery he was responsible for.

Hey there.I am a HUGE cowboys fan
Glad to see ya here.I always make a football fan thread,so I hope you will come on in and help me show much love for those cowboys
BTW~I’am not a MV fan at all. (Sorry)
I dont thank he should ever be aloud to ever own a pet or have one on his property.animal crulity is animal cruity is what it is.and he did do it.he did do his time and is aloud to work. and the law saids he can and he has that write to.
I agree with Plot & others who’ve said he should be able to work. He served his time & IMO will be more likely to stay out of trouble if is able to work & try & build a normal life for himself. Everyone knows who he is & what he did, & he’ll have that stigma to deal with the rest of his life but he’s a football player & I don’t have a problem with him being employed. Unless we lock people up for the rest of their lives (which some deserve, but Vick does not), they’ll get out of jail one day & they have to be given a chance to function in society.
i have read that these individuals are usually repeat offenders, i would not attend any game he was playing in, that is just me, altho maybe if he is once again in the limelight, maybe he will not go back to making money watching dogs kill each other
Well, I guess the football player who only served 26 days, not 2 years, in jail, not prison, for driving drunk and killing a woman, will be finding a team to play with soon! Funny how human life is less valued!
hey eppy, why don’t you start a thread about your great idea of replying to posters, i love it
