I know a few others mentioned that he was interesting, but it was so good to see him back on screen. I nearly forgot he was coming back, though not sure if it is again for a short time or just a day or two.

I smiled when he approached Paul, and he has a new haircut too. Is it just me, or is there something more than just a little intriguing about the actor, beyond his good looks and subtle charisma? DAYS is certainly known for adding a roster of hunks to its gay storylines. Will, Paul, Sonny, as well as Derrick, and Brian a few years ago.

He is a cutie for sure. We don’t know much about him so far except he’s nosey, a flirt and got fired from his job for obvious reasons. He also seemed like kind of a dumb blonde type when he was working at the hotel. I was wondering if that part about him telling the Salem Spectator reporter would come up but Paul didn’t seem to want to talk about anything much concerning Sonny & Will. Maybe this time around we will find out more about who Derrick really is whether it’s good, bad or in between.

Yes he did. And his acting is way better than the last time he was on. They even wrote him different this time he seemed more like a real person than just some nosy bell hop. They may not re-cast Sonny right away and keep Derick for a possible Paul paring. I want none of them near Will (Ugh).

He’s ok but I don’t think he is all that interesting. The character of Derrick was not that interesting to me the first time he was on, and of course his part in revealing Will’s involvement with Paul to Sonny was ok. But I am interested to see if they are going to have Sonny and Derrick have a hookup (maybe Will thinks Paul and Derrick will hookup but maybe the twist is that Sonny does instead of Paul). Not sure how long he is going to be on the show this time. I believe the last time he was on for 20 episodes or so. Not sure if he will be on that long. Who knows, maybe he and Sonny leave Salem together (when Sonny leaves in August).

Interesting Fact: If you follow Molly Burnett (Melanie) on social media, she spends a lot of time with him. I am pretty sure they are dating in real life!

I just look at him and see a blank page. I had the same opinion of the first (not Theresa Hartley but the one before her) Ariana years ago as Rafe’s sister made her debut. He’s nice looking but it’s like there’s nothing else there.

Yup I agree! Saw a pic of them in the recent soap mag, arms around each other, big smiles! Super cute!
