Well, today Summer told Phyllis that seems like no one has come to “claim” the body and therefore have funeral/burial/etc for Locke; she felt for Harrison’s sake and the man he called “father”, that maybe she and Kyle would do something…Wonder if someone from his past and related to Mr. Bobby DeFranco will come to GC to claim the body???

Fall is coming a round the corner; could it be, Trevor St. John, who is joining the Y&R - already taping.

If Trevor St John is on set now/then around 2nd week in September we should see him…about same time the lady reporter from LA comes to town

Supposedly very few people know about Bobby DeFranco. So who would have knowledge to come forward. And if Ashland was telling the truth, his parents died and Bobby has no siblings (not sure about siblings).

As for next of kin, if Victoria is divorced from him, then next would be children, then parents (in most states). So that leaves Harrison, who is a minor and his guardians are Kyle/Summer.

Maybe by some stretch the writer’s imagination, Tara could show up to throw a sticky wicket into things. Or jesse Gaines. Why? i dunno, just wild speculation.

The entire DeFranco family is dead?

How thoughtful to plan a memorial to help Harrison through these difficult days. I’m sure Kyle will have many fond memories of burying his undead mother who stayed away for 20 odd years to get her emotional house in order. And Original Recipe Diane will be tap dancing as fast as she can to make her undead disappearance a merciful sacrifice on her part. After all, she’s the one who suffered the most from the separation of her beloved son.

Hmm … This would be a good time for Tara to crawl out from under her ashtray and take custody of Harrison (and Locke’s remaining fortune) from Kyle and Summer. They only had a verbal agreement for custody with Locke, but nothing was codified by the court. Tara could walk in to muck up Kyle and Summer’s plans with another DNA test that prove Kyle is not the biological father … Come visit Harrison and I in Côte d’Azur, except when we winter in Chamonix. Toodles!

I would be okay with this. If she’s done her time, there’s no reason she shouldn’t be able to see her son, so long as she can provide a secure and safe situation.

And if it drives Kyle and Summer crazy, all the better. That restraining order was bat guano, and poor Harrison deserved better than after the fact lamenting.

BUT are Kyle and Summer LEGAL guardians, it was never mentioned that Ashland signed anything nor Tara signed anything to give Kyle and Summer custody

Why aren’t the writers at least mentioning Tara…who could come back and take her son or even…did Ashland change his will/could it be $$$ to Harrison with Tara as guardian of the $$$ until Harrison is 21

I agree. Tara should return. She could be out of jail and wanting her son back. It makes no sense that she is not mentioned. It’s not like she murdered anyone. Tara did not sign away her son away to Kyle and Summer. Harrison should have lots of money coming to him from his father, Ashland. This could be another missed opportunity by the writers.

The writers have really messed up this story…NO one has said, for Harrison benefit, we need to have Tara come to town/or take Harrison to see her

Exactly, so I hate how Kyle and Summer are being told … Harrison is lucky to have you as his parents, you are caring etc they are NOT his parents
when did they get legal custody??

These writers just kill any relevant details…They are so unimaginative!! I can just hear them saying “details, details, who wants details”. Grrrr

Harrison is too young and doesn’t need to be put through a memorial service or funeral, especially one where not a person in GC would have anything nice to say about Ashland. A memorial service is about the deceased and, as mentioned, Kyle and Diane would make it about their own personal sacrifices. That dead horse has been beaten enough. Ashland should be cremated and buried privately. The Abbotts could place a marker on the burial site for Harrison to visit and remember Father as he grows up.

But if Kyle really is Harrison’s father, then Harrison isn’t the next of kin. Time for some wannabes to come out of the woodwork to try to claim that title and any fortune Ashland still has.

Why aren’t the writers at least mentioning Tara

They have conveniently left out Harrison’s biological mother of the equation. She is next of kin, and now with Ashland dead the judge may reduce the sentence knowing her son is without the man he called, “Father”. A lot of this does not make any sense, but what ever works for our writers with our limited cast, crew and set designers.
