GH is the only soap that I know of that comes up with weird names for babies:
Ace
Scout
Wiley
Rocco

The only one that sounded decent recently is Bailey.

I agree with Rocco. Scout is actually her middle name, her first name is Emily. And scout is from classic literature. Ace is horrible.

Ace is horrible.

She came up with the name “Ace” when she was locked in a room at Windermere.

According to her she has no memory of anything that happened or who she was before she crawled up onto the dock looking like a drowned rat. She was apparently even surprised to find out she was pregnant! If she has no memory of anything before showing up on that dock, she shouldn’t have any memory of the name Ace.

Rocco is an Italian name and since Dante is Italian that make makes sense to me. Scout is what Danny called the baby when Sam was preg. and is actually her middle/ nickname. She is actually named after Emily.

I love the name Ace! Sometimes names provide a self-fulfilling prophecy is how one’s life is lived.
Yes, it is a unique name. The word itself means excellence or top draw.
Considering the circumstances of Ace’s life thus far, let’s hope that excellence is awaiting him in some form or fashion.

Ace is a classic soap name, just not for a baby. He needs to earn it and grow into. My suggestion was to call him Ace but rename him Aleksander Nicolasovich. Wiley is a ridiculous name, although I don’t mind it anymore.

You’re right, Soapymommy. Danny wanted a puppy so he could name it Scout, but I think Sam said no. Then, when Danny found out that his mom was pregnant, he asked her if he could call the baby Scout so Sam & Drew compromised with him. I think Sam said that Danny heard that name when they were watching To Kill a Mockingbird.
