In the main office at Forrester, Steffy kisses Finn and says, “This is a nice surprise.” They canoodle some more and then Steffy asks about Eric. Finn says they’ll know more about his long-term prognosis soon. Steffy recaps that he saved her granddad’s life. Ridge comes in and tells Finn they owe him a great debt. Steffy senses Ridge is emotional and he admits he had a bit of a discussion with Brooke, “About the usual thing.” Steffy guesses it was about Hope and Thomas.

Ridge admits they had a difference of opinion. Steffy asks if something happened. Finn adds, “Was it bad?” Ridge says nothing bad happened, just unexpected. “Your brother proposed,” he tells a stunned Steffy.

In the cabin, Hope and Thomas make passionate love. After, she tells him she’s never felt this way before. “I can’t get enough of you.” Thomas has never experienced anything like Hope’s intensity and passion before. Hope thinks he brings it out in her. “It’s something wild, uninhibited, and you have a spark… and it just ignites all of my desire.” They kiss and start having sex again.

At the beach house, Zende taunts RJ about renting some of the most expensive real estate in the world. He doubts Bill cut him a deal, “Now, Granddad, he must have cut you a huge bonus to afford this place.” He then smirks, “What am I saying? It’s not coming out of your pocket. Ridge and Brooke are so happy to have their son back home, I’m sure they’re paying for it, aren’t they?”

Luna intervenes that she hates to see this tension, or rivalry. Zende snaps, “There’s no rivalry.” He’s already made a name for himself in this business — RJ is just starting out. “But it must be nice having the great Ridge Forrester giving you a boost.” RJ realizes how lucky he is, “I do!” Zende tells his cousin that he wasn’t born into all this like he was. He was left at an orphanage as a scared little kid. “I lost both my parents, until Kristen, your aunt, adopted me.” But she’s not there to have his back the way RJ’s parents like his. Brooke and Ridge are fashion royalty and RJ is a prince. “I’m trying to make you understand where I’m coming from. I’m older than you, I have more experience. I’ve studied design for years, you’re just a couple of months into it.” Zende asks RJ to be real. “If you were in my shoes, you’d be frustrated too.”

RJ respects Zende’s perspective and his passion for design. He realizes he’s saying he doesn’t want to be overlooked or underestimated. He’ll give his designs a look and will probably learn from them. But he’ll look at them in the morning as he and Luna have plans tonight. Zende turns to leave. RJ tells him he gets why he’s frustrated, but they’re family. They used to be close and he hopes they can be again. Zende replies, “Have a nice night. Bye, Luna.” After, Luna comforts RJ, who tells her there’s only one person he’s focused on tonight. They make out.

In the main office, Ridge tells Steffy and Finn that Thomas proposed in the office. Steffy mocks that as well as Hope wearing the ring around her neck, “So cool.” Ridge asks her to give her brother a break. He’s giving her time to make up her mind. Steffy asks what it will do to Thomas and the progress he’s made if she says no. She doesn’t think being in limbo is a healthy place for him to be.

Steffy says she’ll always have Thomas’ back, but this proposal could throw him off track. Finn can’t help but feel for Hope after everything that Thomas has put her through in the past. Ridge says he’s not the same man. He deserves love and he’s worthy of it. Steffy agrees, “But with Hope?” Steffy agrees that Thomas has changed, but he needs to be with someone who appreciates and loves him, that’s not Hope. Finn brings up the past again, which irks Ridge. Steffy complains he should be with someone who gets excited when he puts a ring on her finger. Ridge rants that he could get hurt; that’s love. He and Brooke have had their ups and downs but they’re still here. If Thomas thinks he can find happiness with Hope, “Let him try!”

In the cabin, Hope tells Thomas again that she can’t get enough of him. They kiss and she caresses his chest. Thomas tells her how beautiful she is, “This is what I want, all the time.” He wants to be with her, and to love her and touch her all the time. He feels she doesn’t understand this because she hasn’t had it before. She’s never been with a man who wants her and only her. One she can trust. “You can trust me with your heart because I cherish it.” She never has to experience that pain again. “Hope… you can have that for the rest of your life. All you have to do is take this ring off of this necklace and put it on your finger. Say you’ll marry me, Hope. Say you’ll be my wife.”

In the beach house, RJ and Luna hope there will be no more interruptions and that they’ve broke the curse. Luna muses, “We’ve waited a long time for this.” They want this to be a beautiful, perfect night. They start kissing.
