has no storyline if it’s not tied to Steffy or Hope.
That’s sad. The writers really need to do better with these characters. RJ is getting more screen time and that says a lot.

Anywho, I’m definitely not missing Liam as his character is boring any way but Liam and Wyatt are Spencer’s but they’re definitely a far cry from way $$ Bill has made his mark.

This is why they need to have more than one storyline going on at once. They used to do that all the time, it kept it fresher, even if the writing wasn’t that great, at least there was variety.

We could have a business storyline going on with Liam and Wyatt.

And maybe if they had more than one storyline going on than RJ would be more tolerable. But when these characters are shoved in our faces every day with the same tired dialogue, it gets excruciatingly boring.

My tv preview for Wed says: Li cracks under Finn’s pressure and reveals a family secret; Brooke worries about a rift between Ridge and Eric; Eric refuses to heed his doctor’s orders because he is determined to make this collection his best. (This would be a good time for Dr. Bridget to be around.)

Thurs preview says: Hope gives Deacon an ultimatum during a difficult conversation about Sheila.

Fri preview says: Hoping that her nemesis will lash out, Li taunts Sheila at Il Giardino; Thomas assures Hope of his unwavering love.(I am sick and tired of Thomas doing this!)

I read spoilers for next week and the only things I remember are: Thomas and Liam have a confrontation and preparations are occurring for the fashion show. I guess what I read was so boring, my mind wouldn’t allow it to occupy much space.

Well, to be fair, we all needed a break from Liam. So I’m glad he’s not on screen at the moment. But yes, you’re completely right, Liam has no storyline unless it is attached to. Hope and/or Steffy.

It’s sad that the writers don’t recognise potential when they see it. They can’t create anything whereby there are no triangles or boring repetition. Liam will probably come back on the screen when Steffy returns. And he’ll start his usual bantering and flip flopping around. So I’m savouring every moment when that idiot is not around…

And yes, I agree with you, RJ, getting so much screen time is not adding to my liking of him…

Liam had storylines when both Hope and Steffy were not on the soap. It was a very different soap during that time though.

It would have been a 1000 times more interesting if they had gone the route they appeared to be going at one time with Liam/Wyatt buying a social media site that needed content and R.J. going to work for them to provide contact and hitting it off with Bill. That would have annoyed the crap out of Ridge and possibly made Liam feel displaced by R.J.

I honestly don’t care about Eric coughing up blood like a 19th century consumptive and insisting on the importance of his legacy line instead of, I don’t know, wanting to spend more time with his family or even DDDonna. R.J. suddenly being a brilliant designer and Luna being soooooo important to FC (when we really don’t even know what she does and we do know she’s only an intern anyway) is sleep and nausea-inducing.

Yeah I agree. There’s not one interesting storyline at the moment. And things that are supposed to be a developing storyline come out of nowhere and are not executed properly. I don’t know how anyone can sit for 18 minutes straight and pay attention to what’s going on in the show without flicking channels or hitting the FF button…

Majority of the characters on this show do not have a story and aren’t being written for. Heck, those who are being written for, even with Liam’s absence, have managed to make it interesting either.

RJ and Luna aren’t interesting to watch alone or together. Thope nauseate make, Shecan nauseate me even more, Bridge make me sick and Eric’s story makes me more angry than sympathetic. Finn is doing nothing for me. So yeah, no one is currently watchable and no story is exciting.

I dread Steffy coming back because that means I will have to watch clips of her in scenes with characters I can no longer stomach, and I don’t think I can do even that.

I honestly can’t recall having so many characters on canvas whose mere presence make so angry and disgusted to see them. This show has managed to accomplish something I never thought possible, and that is making me dislkie 99.9% of it’s current characters.

And that is why I won’t waste even that 18 minutes. Does anyone really care about either Luna or RJ? I don’t. They couldn’t make RJ an interesting character and now they’re tryin to force Luna down our throats as they have so many interns before her. Useless and ridiculous. So now in addition to Brooke and Ridge constantly necking in the CEO’s office, Hope sexing up Thomas everywhere when she gets the itch, we now have the teenie boppers Luna and Ridge swapping spit in Thomas/Hope’s office. YUK, just YUK.

Also, what a miracle child, what a genius!!! RJ, who couldn’t draw a stick figure before and has absolutely no fashion design education or experience. is suddenly able to design haute couture gowns. Too bad he can’t properly dress himself and doesn’t know what to do with that awful hair.

Your views accord almost identically with mine. I can’t stand Eric and his honey sow. I can’t stand the entity that is The Coven. I can’t stand BRIDGE and their little Ridgelet. (Even Steffy couldn’t keep me tuning in after that keyhole of destiny cr@p in Italy.)

But, wait a moment though; Brooke deserves her own stand alone shout out for being loathesome. As does Loathesome Liam and Hope. Oh…and then there’s that demon Sheila and Deacon for getting her out of jail.

Thomas is working my nerves by being Hope’s stooge. Finn looks like he might be next in line. Just uuggghhhh!!!

I don’t think that Liam is not on because Hope and Thomas is still on, he has a storyline there. I think maybe SC aka Liam might have needed some time off after all the time he has been on.

Hahaha. I totally get it! It’s easier for me because I stopped watching years ago when I could no longer force myself to watch a genre that is stuck in the dark ages. I held on longer than I should’ve because of one or two characters but then I decided that I needed to treat myself better. I gave up YR, GH, Days and B&B at the same time and once I stopped, I haven’t gone back to watching full episodes.

I limit my engagement to watching clips of characters I like, which I can count on one hand re all four soaps. The rest I keep track of via twitter. But even that is getting to be more interaction than this shitty product deserves.

This year so far has ruined all but one character for me. The list of characters I could tolerate was already short and now that list only has Steffy and her kids on it. Taylor is practically off the show. Thomas and Finn were ruined and I can’t see them the same. So yeah, I won’t be able to watch my girl share scenes with the folks she will be in scenes with.

Totally agree. Didn’t mention Liam because he has been gone all this time. Hope makes Thomas unwatchable for me and same goes for Brook re Ridge. Aways loathed Deacon and Sheila was never my cup of tea, so putting them together is . Carter bores me on all fronts. Not much left to watch for.
