Spencers daddy issues will ruin his relationship with Trina - General Hospital

He needs to see a therapist!

Clearly Ace, who is not his son, but his brother, takes priority over his supposed love for Trina. Spencer wants to re-enact what the role of a father should be, due to Nik’s failure as his father. That’s a problem. Kevin sees it. The man on the moon sees it. We all see it.

Spencer is over the top - it’s ridiculous.

Why is no one realizing that something serious must have happened to Nikolas if he had no money transactions for all those months leading up to the recent ones that Laura found about it?

Doesn’t he live with one. Come on Kevin. Help spencer and Charlotte.

I think they would assume he left with a lot of cash & then had to get more.

I feel kind of bad for him…his intentions with Ace are honorable…but he’s about to get really hurt…between Esme and Nikolas…he’s going to be devastated if he is shut out of Ace’s life.

I think that Spencer’s approach is a bit overzealous and is concerning on a psychological level.
He seems oblivious to what Trina feels about how this will impact THEIR future together.
Kevin has noticed how unrealistic Spencer is being. Let’s hope that he can counsel him into accepting a better path forward.

I agree. He’s definitely over the top with his relationship with Ace. He has a lot of issues to work through and it became clear during his conversation with Trina that he has absolutely nothing in his life except Trina and Ace. That made me so sad. At least Cam and Britt were his friends…now they’re gone. He has to have something else…a job, school, making something good out of the Cassadine money (that’s a stretch)… :slightly_smiling_face:

I’m kind of hoping that we find out that Dex is Jason’s son (with Spencer’s Mom). They had a baby that supposedly died. At least Spencer would have a brother. He does have some relatives…Charlotte, Alexis, Sam…he needs to connect with some others or he’s going to be in trouble.

Agree 100% here. Let’s hope Kevin steps up and helps. Love to see Jon Lindstrom more on my screen.

So many Daddy Issues lately … Michael, Spencer, Cody, Austin, Valentin … all we need is Whiney Heiney to show up and join the club …

Because the characters on this show don’t think very deeply. They need everything presented right in front of their face before they can put two and two together.

Is Spencer leaving town? I hope so.

This is a very disturbing storyline.

Trina is supposed to be so intelligent yet she continuously makes excuses for Spencer and continues to remain in an emotionally abusive relationship where despite what comes out of his mouth she is still last in his list of a priorities.

He has absolutely no ambition. He considers her going to school to be a waste of time. He’s supposed to be supporting her goals and dreams and all he cares about is his own.

This is such a reach. But I wasn’t expecting anything less, :joy:. How are Sprina in an emotionally abusive relationship? What excuses has she made for him? I think some of you think if you keep repeating the same sentiments about them, then it will become true.

Some ppl you just have to skip over because the Sprina/Trina hate is so OTT. :joy:

Trina had a conversation with her serious boyfriend about their future. That’s all that happened. He’s being deluded about his brother but what can Trina do about that? She tried to advise him. He’s just gonna have to live and learn.

I think Spencer is in denial about his lingering attraction for Esme. Does he loves Trina, sure, but something keeps him close to Esme. Laura and Kevin are home now but has he packed and moved out to his own apartment, no? I truly believes he loves his baby brother and wants the best life for him, but that baby is only being used by him as an excuse to stay in Esme’s life. If I’m wrong then we should see him looking for his own place soon, and we should see him sitting with Trina telling her that she is his future. We should see them getting closer and Esme gone. I’m cheering for Sprina, but I just know when someone has a tough time letting go and Spencer can’t let go of Esme even though he knows she’s horrible for him.

It’s actually even sadder because it’s so reflective of real life for so many women, of all ages.

The only thing keeping him close is that kid. I would agree with you if the kid wasn’t around, and Spencer was still obsessed with keeping Esme around but that’s not what we’re seeing. He’s shown NO romantic interest in Esme. None at all.
