Taylor Swift Night Dancing With the Stars Songs, Dances: Whos Which Era?

It’s Taylor Swift Night in the Dancing With the Stars ballroom! The six remaining contestants are gearing up to honor the pop star in a Taylor Swift-themed “celebration” night, which will air on November 21. What Taylor Swift era are the stars and pros dancing to? Find out below.

Professional dancer Peta Murgatroyd, who was partnered with The Brady Bunch alum Barry Williams this season, first let it slip during an October 3, 2023, interview with Billboard that a Taylor Swift night was in the works. “We will be having a Taylor Swift week here,” Murgatroyd told the outlet, adding, “Am I allowed to say that?” Her partner, Williams, who was eliminated from the show on November 14, 2023, also chimed in and said he was a big fan of Swift’s boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. “Apparently, I know who Travis Kelce is now. I did not know that name before,” he joked.

ABC confirmed the details of their Taylor Swift-themed night on November 6, 2023, revealing that Mandy Moore would be the guest judge. On Dancing With the Stars‘ Whitney Houston Night, the infamous pop star even made a surprise cameo appearance to wish the dancers good luck the following week. “Next week we’ve got a celebration of Taylor Swift. Here’s a special message!” co-host Alfonso Ribeiro said during the November 14 episode. Swift then appeared on a screen wearing a sequin dress and her signature bold red lip. “I can’t wait to see Dancing with the Stars’ celebration of my Eras next week,” she said. “I wish I could be there with you guys but I’m on tour in Brazil, but I will be there in spirit and I’ll be watching.”

The remaining contestants are Ariana Madix, Charity Lawson, Xochitl Gomez, Jason Mraz, Alyson Hannigan, and Harry Jowsey. While the stars and their partners have kept mum about what songs and dances they will be doing on Taylor Swift Night thus far, Swifties and fans of the show are dying to know. Below, find predictions for which era each Dancing With the Stars contestant and their pro will be doing.

What are the Taylor Swift night songs and dances for Dancing With the Stars Season 32?

Ariana Madix & Pasha Pashkov - Dancing With the Stars

Ariana Madix and Pasha Pashkov

What we want them to dance to: Rumba to Vigilante Sh*t (Midnights)

Madix has been nailing Latin-style dances throughout the season and she has already done an impressive Cha Cha, Tango and Samba, so fans would love to see her take on the Rumba. Given the year Madix has had following Scandoval and how fierce of a dancer she is, what better Taylor Swift song is there than the Revenge-inspired track “Vigilante Sh*t.”

What they’re actually dancing to: Rumba to “Cruel Summer” (Lover)

Madix and Pashkov have already given fans a teaser of what to expect from them on Taylor Swift Night. In an exclusive interview with People, they revealed that they will be dancing a Rumba to the Vanderpump Rules Star‘s “favorite” Swift song: “Cruel Summer.” She added of their performance: “I think there’s going to be some Easter eggs, in classic Taylor style.”

Xochitl Gomez & Val Chmerkovskiy - Dancing With the Stars

Xochitl Gomez and Val Chmerkovskiy

What we want them to dance to: Waltz to “Enchanted” (Speak Now)

We predict that Gomez and Chmerkovskiy will perform a Waltz to “Enchanted” off of Swift’s Speak Now album. The 17-year-old Marvel star has been a front-runner since Week 1 and has earned top scores in almost every dance style. “Enchanted” is a very emotional song from one of Swift’s most theatrical albums that is all about growing up, so who better than Gomez to bring this beautiful song to the ballroom.

What they’re actually dancing to: Quickstep to TBD

On November 16, Gomez and Chmerkovskiy took over the Dancing With the Stars Instagram and shared in video posted to the account’s Instagram Story that they were doing a Quickstep, although they did not reveal which song or era they had chosen.

Jason Mraz & Daniella Karagach - Dancing With the Stars

Jason Mraz and Daniella Karagach

What we want them to dance to: Quickstep to “New Romantics” (1989)

Jason Mraz and his partner Daniella Karagach have made upbeat, high-energy dances their signature, so fans would love to see the “I’m Yours” crooner perform a Quickstep to Swift’s “New Romantics” off one of her most pop-focused albums, 1989. With Mraz’s experience writing romantic songs, coupled with his fun energy on the dance floor, we think “New Romantics” is perfect for him.

What they’re actually dancing to: Argentine Tango to TBD

Alongside a November 17 photo of the singer posing with a microphone next to Karagach, the Dancing With the Stars Instagram account revealed that pair will be performing an Argentine Tango on Taylor Swift Night. They did not disclose their song choice but encouraged fans to guess.

Harry Jowsey & Rylee Arnold - Dancing With the Stars

Harry Jowsey and Rylee Arnold

What we want them to dance to: Viennese Waltz to “Lover” (Lover)

Harry Jowsey and his partner Rylee Arnold, who have been sparking romance rumors since the premiere of this season, gave fans a hint at what they may be dancing to after the Whitney Houston Night. While speaking with Page Six, the pair were asking if they would dress up like Swift and her boyfriend Kelce. “I’m willing and able to shave the beard and get a mustache … we’re ready!” Jowsey said. When asked what “era” they were in, Arnold answered that she was in her “Lover” era. Given the chemistry Jowsey and Arnold have, we predict they’ll dance a Viennese Waltz to “Lover,” maybe even dressed as Swift and her NFL hunk.

What they’re actually dancing to: TBD

Charity Lawson & Artem Chigvintsev - Dancing With the Stars

Charity Lawson and Artem Chigvintsev

What we want them to dance to: Paso Doble to “Don’t Blame Me” (Reputation)

In an interview with ExtraTV following Whitney Houston Night, Bachelorette star Charity Lawson and her partner Artem Chigvintsev played coy about their Taylor Swift Night song and dance choice, but they did provide some hints. “It’s going to be a style of dance that people wouldn’t really expect to be danced to a Taylor Swift song, so it’s going to be interesting,” Chigvintsev said. “I think we’re going to be able to do some kind of magic to make it special and very passionate.” Lawson chimed in, “We’re working on more passion.” Based on this information, we suspect Lawson will surprise fans by dancing to a song off Reputation. Since we haven’t seen her do a Paso Doble yet, we think she’ll choose the passionate Latin dance and pair it to “Don’t Blame Me.”

What they’re actually dancing to: Argentine Tango to TBD

Our prediction was pretty close for this one. Lawson and Chigvintsev chose the passionate Argentine Tango for their dance. As for their song choice, Dancing With the Stars gave a hint on Instagram and shared a photo of the pair drinking tea on November 18, which leads fans to believe they are dancing to “Anti-Hero” off of Swift’s newest album Midnights or “Wonderland” off 1989.

Alyson Hannigan & Sasha Farber - Dancing With the Stars

Alyson Hannigan and Sasha Farber

What we want them to dance to: Waltz to “Willow” (Folklore)

Alyson Hannigan has shown the most improvement out of all of the dancers on the show and her most recent dances have been some of her best, including her Week 8 contemporary. Since she excels at slow, beautiful ballads, we would love to see her do a Waltz to a song from Folklore, and “Willow” is very appropriate seeing as she played the character Willow on Buffy the Vampire Slayer from 1997 to 2003. The song is also graceful yet still upbeat, making it perfect for a traditional Waltz or even a Foxtrot.

What they’re actually dancing to: Cha Cha to “You Belong With Me” (Fearless)

Hannigan and Farber revealed that they will be dancing a Cha Cha on Taylor Swift Night in a photo shared on the Dancing With the Stars Instagram account. The photo also gave a very obvious clue to their song choice as Hannigan held up a sign that read, “You OK?” while Farber’s read: “Tired of rehearsal. Ready for Tuesday!” The signs represent an iconic scene from one of Swift’s early music video’s “You Belong With Me.”
