Thomas and Paris? - The Bold and the Beautiful
That whole scene with Douglas calling Paris mom and the we’re engaged coming from Thomas made me puke in my mouth
. This quickly becoming engaged to someone else when Hope was always his only love. “I’m a one woman man” was obviously a lie. Talk about a rebound affair and for Douglass to instantly start calling her mom. This whole storyline is totally screwed. I’m hoping it’s a scam that he put together with Paris to get Hope to fully commit to him because the thought of having to watch Paris on a regular basis makes me wanna hurl.
The show was much better when she was gone, she’s never contributed anything interesting. She’s only ever been a sideline irritant.

KAS June 24, 2024, 9:41pm 2If this is a scam to get Hope to commit then Thomas has not changed at all.
I know that Thomas kept telling Hope that he was a one woman man and that woman was her but I can’t forget that Thomas has had several other interests and loves since the first time he was going to propose to Hope. Thomas did fall in love with Caroline, and Sally. I think that Thomas cared for Zoe but he was not in love with her. It seemed to me around the time that Paris sang the national anthem at the ball part that Thomas was attracked to her. The writers did indicate that Paris and Thomas were friends when they lived as room mates when Thomas deal to buy a house fell through at the last moment. I also recall that Douglas really liked Paris.
I have never cared for the character Paris as she was too much of a busy body for me. So needless to say I am not thrilled that the writer’s have chosen Paris as Thomas’ new love interest.

How long has Thomas technically been gone? I hope they explain that it has been a while so it doesn’t look so odd that he jumped into a relationship. I don’t care for the character of Paris but hopefully this is better than Thomas constantly telling Hope how wonderful she is. Let her stew for a while. Let Steffy find out that she has the hots for her husband. Let Ridge find out Brooke knew and didn’t say anything to him or Steffy. Of course there will be no fallout for the Logans. I hope Thomas becomes the co-CEO. .

Cooper June 24, 2024, 10:09pm 4The problem with BB time is it’s never clear what relationship it has with actual time. I mean, sometimes it takes a week or more for a final day to pass. Other times, they jump ahead a week between one episode and the next. So until they mention on the show how long he’s been gone—if they do mention it—we won’t know.
The other thing they need to establish is whether Thomas and Douglas are actually back or whether they’ve come back to break the news of the engagement to the family et. al. and are perhaps planning to return to France. Or at least that’s what the plan is at the moment. That would be a pretty good gut punch to everyone, even if it eventually turned out not to be true.

Matt said he never left the show. He and his wife went on vacation. He’s now returned from that vacation

Cooper June 25, 2024, 12:34am 6That’s why I said “or at least that’s what the plan is at the moment.” Thomas could say the plan was for them to go back to Paris and then they could change their minds. Maybe Steffy would pressure Ridge to give him a more prominent position in the company to keep him around, so she’d have some more balance on that “executive team” Ridge put together. Because Ridge would want to keep him around to, it wouldn’t be that hard to do. They could sweeten the deal with some kind of promotion for Paris as well. Then suddenly they wouldn’t be going back.

This whole storyline is totally screwed.
You sure summed this Thomas/Paris/Douglas storyline up nicely with this one sentence. That mess out of Douglas was a TOTAL turn off for me. I won’t be watching Paris on a regular basis unless it is a scam of some type.
Thomas was my favorite character, but I can’t help but think, in one way or another, he was lying to Hope all along. It looks like he was lying about wanting only Hope. He most certainly lied about being able to handle the relationship without pushing her for things she isn’t ready for, and he lied about wanting her to serve as a mother to Douglas, as apparently that was a conditional offer. LOL
I think that I would like to see Hope move on… without either Finn or Liam…but move on nonetheless. Maybe she could date Hollis or something. Workwise, she needs to stick with Zende and RJ as HFTF’s current designers and let Thomas get on down the road via helping Ridge design couture.
And, yes, I am a Thorpe fan…or was…but just… NO… to all of this nonsense. Hope needs to also allow Douglas to get on down the road.

But what, apart from calling Paris mum, which I have stated I don’t like, but I never liked him calling Hope mum either, has Douglas done??
He told Hope he missed her and came straight from the airport to see her…
Mind you, I have never been a fan of Douglas either…I think he is a disobedient little boy, just like Kelly, but I don’t th8nk he deserves hate just yet…

Cooper June 25, 2024, 2:08am 9The one quality they’ve always stressed Douglas as having is that he values the truth and doesn’t like it when people lie or push him to lie. He also doesn’t like it when the adults in his life are at odds, though no kid really likes that. So I find it hard to believe that he’d call Paris mom as part of a test to see how Hope would react or plan some kind of parent trap for Hope and Thomas while using Paris as a pawn to get them back together. It just doesn’t match what we know about him at all. I don’t know what his reasoning is–I’ve suggested several possibilities but I don’t know which if any of them are right–but I don’t think it’s that. Or, if it is, then Bell has totally rewritten his character to make Hope the poor little victim of his scam.

Why miss Hope? Douglas has his replacement mom and both he and his flaky father need to move along.
Sorry. That’s just the way I feel about this matter. If either Douglas or Thomas genuinely loved Hope they would think of her feelings and strive not to hurt her now that have found happiness in their insta-family with Paris.
This is mean and in extremely poor taste. And, it’s just such a tacky “Arrogant Forrester” thing to do.
I hate when Brooke is right; but, she certainly called this one where Thomas is concerned. Brooke was as right as rain not to want Hope tangled up with Thomas. I just hope this doesn’t leave the door open for that other weirdo Finn to spend more time in Hope’s life. Ugh.

I think what comes around, goes around. Liam was a minute late showing up and five minutes later Hope was off marrying his brother. I guess that would make that a tacky arrogant Logan thing to do, something she’s had the ideal role model to teach her.
As for Douglas, I fail to see why he’s deemed as disobedient child. He politely asked if he could go and get a snack and called his father out several times over not being honest. There should be more disobedient children like Douglas.

Not feeling Thomas and Paris at all. Even though I can’t stand Hope but Thomas and Hope do bring sizzle to the screen.

Cooper June 25, 2024, 5:08am 13I can think of at least one time Douglas was specifically disobedient. He was told not to use the app on his phone that allowed him to simulate other people’s voiced, and he did so anyway. His doing that did cause problems later. Another actor was playing the role at that time, however, as HS was unavailable. Oh, and he has snuck out of the Toolshed without Hope or Liam knowing a couple of times.
I don’t think the labeling of Douglas as disobedient had to to with what he did today, since it sounds like he didn’t do all that much and the only thing anyone could object to his having done is called Paris mom.

Being disobedient is how he saw grandma Brooke kissing Santa clause. Lolol

Are Carter & Katie still dating? If not, I’d like to see Carter throw a monkey-wrench into this engagement too. He was all set to marry Paris before Quinn professed her love…but she isn’t around anymore either!

I hope Paris tell Carter to kick rocks with sandals on.

I would like to see that too, but they don’t do that on this show! The women (and some of the men) on this show let men treat them horribly, and then come back to them again and again.

I didn’t say anything about Douglas being disobedient. I said that there was something wrong with him and all this “insta-mommy” mess of his.
And, I’m not sure what Liam has to do with ANY of this. I do remenber that, back then, I was glad Hope left and married Wyatt because she had much more chemistry with Wyatt than Liam.
Addtionally, Hope had an actual relationship with Wyatt … one that was developed onscreen. The same cannot be said of Thomas and Paris. But, if this type of messiness is what floats Thomas’s leaky boat, Hope should just let him have at it. And, she should definitely disentangle herself from Douglas. That way, she can just leave all the “crazy” by the wayside.
