Trivial -- but I have to say, Steve's 'blind man act' - Days of Our Lives

is so phoney---- Tell me that a man who is blind for an hour can easily eat lunch-- expertly dipping his French fries into the ketchup cup and very easily reaching for and drinking out of his glass? OMG
Ya really have to laugh at his phoney attempt to play a blind man.

It’s all I can do to find my bed when it’s dark with moonlight coming thru the blinds.
He needs to do this with his eyes closed - at the very least. It’s amazing how hard it is to do anything when you can’t see. Not to mention all of the other uncertainties and fears. :unamused: Come on Steve. Let’s see what you got!
And, Jules? It ain’t trivial! Good for pointing it up!

I have to agree most people with disabilities like blindness need to time with an occupational therapist for a period of time compensate for whatever difficulties they are having.

Does anyone remember the old tv series about a good looking detective who was blind - had a white dog? That was really enlightening- showing how blind people can do things… how to tell how much is in a cup, where to locate their dishes on a table, etc… loved that show–
AHA- I found it! Longstreet-- starring James Franciscus — it was a great show!

This has really been bugging me. My husband is legally blind and took what they call orientation and mobility training through the VA to learn how to use the white cane as well as the activities of eating and drinking already mentioned. This took several weeks.

I can can guess that his life is no fun now. But I really want this s/l to end.

I also want this storyline to end. The sooner, the better.

Not to worry-- before Steve even THINKS about getting professional help (training, etc) rumors/spoilers/previews have him “getting his miracle” — in a week or so…
So it’ll be 'off with the sunglasses and back to the stupid patch" before the month is over…

mau, I’m sure you’re right. One week or so! Disgusting treatment of the story. It will surely be a slap in the face to a lot of people.
