Actually Carly figured out who killed Morgan. It was Sonny. Nobody who is not mob-related would not do that because they are not killers. Sonny wanted to cancel, but cancel sometimes does not work. It was too late.

Sonny will come out of this with everyone apologizing and telling Sonny how they should have believed in him. But they told Morgan over and over not to drink with the medication and yet Sonny is shown a lot with a drink in his hand. It’s all a double standard where Sonny is concerned.

Sonny himself thinks he’s responsible and there’s a good reason he thinks that way. The fact that it could be true should be enough to make him quit the mob but he won’t. He loves power too much.

But on a more serious note, TPTB rotate crimes between opposite characters to please all fans, that’s the main principle of soaps. They made Julian do several crimes, now it’s Sonny’s turn.
Besides, it’s a good lesson to take home that revenge is not the right way to go in life. Plus mob lifestyle is not the happy one. I know that Sonny fans want him to be saint, but that would not work for Julian’s fans, so there should be a balance.
