Why does she have use nouns?

Perhaps because she’s trying to emphasize to Hope that Finn is Steffy’s husband, that he’s married, and that he’s married to someone whom Brooke doesn’t want Hope crossing because if she does, that’s going to cause huge problems for Brooke and Hope both, especially since Brooke has told Deacon about Hope’s little fantasies but not Ridge.

That’s what I got, that Brooke is trying to remind Hope that Finn is Steffy’s husband. Such odd dialog for Brooke though.

Such odd dialogue for Brooke because she never cared about anything but her libido. They’re trying to soften the Brooke character. Not buying her caring for the Tridge kids.

I don’t think she’s softening about the Tridge kids at all. I think Brooke is freaking out that Hope could screw up Brooke’s relationship with Ridge if she doesn’t stop trying to interfere with the relationships of both of his older kids, and she’s especially frantic that she not mess with Finn because if Ridge finds out about Hope’s libido heading in that direction and that Brooke knew about it and didn’t tell him but did tell Deacon…well, that’s not going to look good for her, is it? And what Ridge giveth, Ridge could take away, including the reboot of Brooke’s Bedroom, her new executive position, and the 432nd chance at bringing HFTF out of the red and into the black, which isn’t likely to go well anyway if Hope’s spending her time doing a ring inventory, which any intern could do, as opposed to actually making sure the line itself is being worked on because if it’s not, the number of accessories they have on hand to go with it won’t much matter.

Didn’t Brooke get into trouble with Ridge before for telling Deacon something and not Ridge?

Not sure if this is what you mean, but when Bridge got married and then went off to Paris for their honeymoon right before RM exited the role of Ridge, Brooke returned alone and it was later revealed that Brooke had been received phone messages from Deacon while they were on their honeymoon and had not told Ridge about them. I can’t remember if she actually called Deacon back or not, but it was Brooke not telling Ridge that Deacon had called her that got her into trouble.

Softening as the words that she’s saying. In the past Brooke didn’t speak those words because she knew that Ridge weren’t going anywhere once she threw on that old standby. She would’ve been trashing Stephanie and telling Hope to go for it.

No problem. Brooke has been a shew for a long time and it hasn’t gotten her anywhere. Bell is trying a new approach. At that jacked up and blindsided meeting that Ridge had Brooke was all calm and saying all the right words. Too little too late.

And I didn’t see that meeting though I did read about it, so that may be partly why I didn’t see where you were going as well.

I think it’s to emphasize the seriousness of the situation. I don’t think Brooke is wrong for not wanting this to happen. It will blow up their entire family. Bridge will be hurt by the fallout, sinn will be hurt, Hope will be hurt and the kids will definitely be impacted. For once Brooke is actually being a good mom and giving Hope good advice.

Which means Brooke really a)should not have gone to Deacon about Hope’s fantasies, particularly since he’s involved with Sheila and might share that information with her accidentally or on purpose and b)should tell Ridge what’s going on if she really wants to help make sure Hope doesn’t overstep because Ridge will not be afraid to go straight to Finn and/or Steffy with that piece of information.

Until I see different, I am going to have to go along with you. I think for once Brooke is telling Hope some truths that if not spoken just how they are meant, Hope can open up a jar of Whip Azz on herself and many others. She says Steffys husband because that is exactly who he is, Steffy husband not some single Finn. We do all know one thing for sure, Brooke loves Hope, no matter how twisted and does not want to see another world of hurt come down on her for going after another one of Steffys husbands. Look at how that worked out for her the first time, and Brooke drove the bandwagon for that fiasco.

The whole continuously unnecessary conversation TSFTV keeps on having with Hope is stupid because Hope should never have told the loosest lips on the show about her confusing feelings for Finn. Her big mouth is going to be overheard again by someone other than psycho mommy 9-toes. She just has to keep bringing it up again and again and again. One of the biggest problems with this silly show is the needless repetition. Just her telling Deacon was way over the line and we have yet to see the ramifications of that not so secret conversation coming out. Hope should never have told mommy big mouth.
